I called Trans Ware Trasmissions in Concord (N of Toronto Canada) and spoke to Mike.

He told me I was looking at $2000 CDN for a stock rebuild. He didnt get into specifics on what he would be putting in the trans...but did mention modding a stock converter for stall.

Dont know about input shaft, drum. steels, servo etc. He seemed busy when we spoke and like I say - he didnt get into specifics.

Does this sound like too much cash or about right for a stock rebuild for a street only cruiser ?

My trans is from transware, and im getting about 20 passes out of it so far and its slipping again. I have to take it back again. I think he is only putting stock parts in, as he told me it works best. But i don't believe it. I may have to go to CK performance and just bite the bulllet and Spend $2500 us, at least i will get the parts in it i want, not just a generic rebuild.

If you are interested in CK Performance parts please feel free to contact me about them. I am working with Chris to manage some of his inventory here in Canada, helping to reduce cost and time to the customer.

For any tech advice, Chris is available for a call or email. He also replies to several threads on this board.

I have heard that Mike at Transware understands the 2004r very well, however if it is the quality of parts that is in question, we can provide them and he can work along with us to build you a strong transmission.

If you are interested in a Full CK Performance transmission, from a stock rebuild all the way up to our Stage II, please feel free to contact me and for pricing and availabilty at :

get the CK parts from the Canadian dist and get Milton Trans to build it . that way you know exactly what's going in . :) .

When I was looking for a decent 200 4R, I couldn't find one locally, never new about any tranny shops in Ontario, although I did ask around several message boards.
I ended up getting a TCI Streetfighter 200 4R from a TCI dealer that was also a member of some of the other boards I visit. I got a great deal and even saved a few hundred as compared to the prices at Summit and Jegs. He ships to Canada quite a bit, although he is in Iowa.
I have close to 10K miles on mine now and it still runs flawlessly.

I have a stock 200R4 tranny in excellent condition I could sell you with no core exchange for $700 if your interested. Saves you lots of money, and you still have your old tranny that you can build up on your own leasure. Pm me if your interested.

Thanks

Hey guys - thanks for the replies. I think I want to keep my trans and rebuild it. I am going to e-mail ckperformance@magma.ca and see what I can come up with for parts prices.

Any input on taking it to Trans Ware as opposed to Milton Trans ? What the difference between the two ?
