Transmission/driveshaft question

Hello folks, I have a TH350 in my regal, 7.5 rearend. I have found a 8.5 posi that was used with a th200r tranmission. Will this driftshaft be correct for my TH350/8.5 rear application? Anyone know what the lenght should be for the TH350/8.5 application? Is the transmission yolk the same for the 350 as for the 200? Thanks, Scott

If you have the 6" tail housing (which it should have in the Regal) then the drive shaft will be too long when you swap in the 8.5". I don't remember off hand exactly how much longer the drive shaft for the 7.5" is but you will have to have it cut. The yoke splines will be 27 for both the TH350 and the 200-4R trans. Going from an 8.2" to 8.5" the shaft needs to be 1-1/2" shorter. Not positive the 7.5" housings are the same size but should be between 1" & 1-1/2" difference. I'd measure to be safe because of all the tolerences between different cars.
