I used to get injector goo and had mini pebbles in my fuel filter etc, it was a mess with tuning etc.
Back in the day I found many injs on E85 that had a "donut" of the crud that Mike mentioned piled on the inlet of the injs.
Here's some info on plugs. DO NOT attempt an accurate read on plugs with drive time on them.
E85 is "hygroscopic". It absorbs water.
Here's a pic of an inj that had water in the E85 and was allowed to sit for an extended period.
The last 2 pics are what a dirty filter basket can cause.
This is the SAME set showing only clean filter baskets installed.
The injs were not cleaned prior to new baskets being put in.

Hello, first time gn owner looking for some tuning help or a shop to go through some tuning on my new car. It’s a mild build on E85 and after driving the car for a few days I’m seeing a lot of kr?
Thank you in advance
Newbee to these terms, Curious as to what is KR ?

You NEED a Powerlogger and a fuel pressure & boost pressure transducer . This way you can see where the Knock comes in , at what FP , rpm , boost , & afr are at , all at the same time . I ran a TT 6.1 wideband chip for years which targeted AFR @ 10.8 ( default setting ) and was spot on .

Thanks for all the input, I do have a thermal gun I’ll hit the headers with it tomorrow don’t know if I’ll get much at idle. I will definitely pull the injectors and have them flowed and cleaned this winter. I took the car to some Buick guys and they drove it, said it was false knock but I just can’t find anything hitting or loose the motor mounts are tight converter bolts tight nothings touching the knock sensor. It’s driving me crazy! The power logger is in my list just trying to decide if I want to stay old or update to standalone with speed density.

The ECUGN will let you eliminate the knock ESC module entirely and instead show you the knock sensor signal directly. You can calibrate the signal sample duration, gain, and set the threshold for knock detection vs rpm.

On a mild build there is no need to upgrade the ECU . I went 10.3's on the stock ECU ( modded for big injectors ) and TT E85 6.1 wideband chip , but the new ECU's are nice !
