I have a TA49 with a precision exh housing on it,I want it to spool up quicker,so I`m going to change the exh housing to a stock (87 GN)Garrett .63,,I have a good 85 hot air turbo in my collection of "stuff",was wondering if that housing would work ---any body been there-done that,,would save me some cash if it would work----Jack

I'll be watching for your answer, I asked the same thing about a te44 and never got an answer.

I believe the garrett exhaust housing requires machining to fit the ta49. John Craig ships them with the choice of housings. Maybe someone who knows for sure will answer your question w/o doubt. ;)

Since you don't like the Precision exhaust housing, I'll gladly take it off your hands.

precision exh housing

All I want to do is have have some better snap on the street,as that is where almost all my driving is,but,I want to keep the precision just in case I end up not liking the stock Garrett, and who knows, maybe me and my kid just might end up racing the thing, but if I do want to get rid of it,I`ll keep you in my files-----Jack
