I have a ta49 and am thinking of going up.I was thinking a ta 61 or ta62or something else.Don't want to have to change alot of things to make work oil lines, waterlines etc.Was looking the buick power pac book and they list turbo'as stock appearin non stock whatever that means.I would like to keep turbo housing cover and all options .So what turbo do you guys recommened.I want to get low 11's high tens eventually,so turbo to comply with these and who has the best price etc. thanks mike.

i would go with a new GT series turbo. Depending how much you want to spend you can get a Dual BB turbo. If not i would get a GT6152E should work well but others will chime in im sure.

This is what I run and I love it. Went from stock to the 6152 and I would do it again. BTW - I run 11's in street trim.

FULL THROTTLE SPEED - Store Front Page has the turbo. you shouldnt have to change anything really. you can get buy with the 3,000 stall it might take a little longer to spool but no big deal. also you will max your injectors out pretty quick with that turbo but you can get a set of high z 60's from fullthrottlespeed as well.

Jack Cotton has some really nice BB turbos available that will get the job done with a lower stall converter than required for the 6152.

If you going to spend the money on a BB unit i would go with a Precision Turbo Dual BB. Cotton Carries Turbonetics stuff and they also make some cool turbos.

i am going to buy a ball bearing one and I just have to decide on which one now.

Call Cotton and tell him i sent you. No need for a dual BB. More plumbing and BS that is not needed at the level you will be achieving. A 61BB will kick A$$. Great customer service from Jack also. Ive seen him take care of a lot of customers over the years when parts broke because of operator error. He stands behind his customers really well.

+1 cotton does make some nice stuff but its all about $$$
Everything about racing and high performance is about the $. If you dont want to spend a lot of $ sell the car. Customer service is the deciding factor when i buy form a vendor. If they were a dick to me at any point i simply kick them in the wallet and tell my friends not to purchase anything from them. Thankfully ive had great service with the vendors in the last 6 years. Jack is the man when speccing BB turbos.

+1 for Jack. A+ service. Looking forward to finally meeting him at the Midwest Challenge this weekend.
The Turbonetics turbos also carry a full one year no-fault/no-questions asked warranty and are rebuildable.

Mr. Cotton has been great. He is currently dealing with all my BS and getting me a custom turbo. :) customer serives has been great.

I talked to mike at full throttle I think it will be a 6776bb turbo with s cover.Just waiting and weighing options before jumping into one.I will have to call cotton's and see what they think with what have and go from there.Rather have to much info then not enuff.

Well got 60's and extream chip coming from full throttle.Talked to jack at cotton's it will be a 61 p trim ball bearing turbo. He said the 6776 would be a lil laggy for my street car.Said the 61 will be perfect with stall and all the stuff I already have. Also I street drive the piss out of it so all around the 61 is what he fells would work best with future upgrades. Thanks everyone for giving some pointers. It will be here early this week and I will let you know how she feels when I take it on it's first test drive with the new combo.
