I just bought a 6266 cea journal bearing:cool: and ive got a few different answers so im wondering what everyone is using.... turbo saver, turbo protector ,biggie oil adapter ,any other setup, or none at all.... Have you had a catastrophic experience where your turbo was spared using one or trashed cause you didnt? Also what turbo is it or was it? Stock, ball bearing, journal bearing.....

With all the people buying new $800 + billet turbos theres no interest in what is the best way to protect them?o_O You guys gotta have some turbo stories and creative ideas /input...

I use mine.:D Simple install, killer filter, no drilling holes for brackets and no worrying about routing all those hosesl.

PTE turbo saver on my car and my oil filter has caught plenty of bearing material in the past!! My 6262bb survived both of my bearing failures.

I'm using Mark's .....Works very well.........it's an easy install and leaves a very clean & uncluttered look. Too much clutter in these engine bays to begin with!

I think im gonna order marks but how do i do it without ordering $500 worth of engraved aluminum doodads too!!!!!

I run Mark's system on mine. Very happy with it.

No experience with Marks but your a leg up on warranty/turbo lube issues if you are using a Pte turbo and their turbosaver. I do have the PTE saver on mine ....had it for almost ten years....only issue was the braided feed line leaked about middle ways to the turbo and was seeping so I replaced that and had to add bracing to the mount by battery as it was trying to crack the metal .....pro......oil stays a lot cleaner and oil changes are cleaner and easier...no more brake cleaner spray down after the stock location filter dribbled everywhere also, better oil psi

Made my own, and always run a RJC biggie oil filter adapter and a Baldwin B9 filter on mine.

I used the Magnefine billet aluminum filter housing with replaceable cartridges with 3/8 AN fittings and plumbed it inline with the DBB non-precision older Innovative turbo.

Synthetic oil and about 55K miles on the install, still not sure if it's helping...... ;)
