I pulled 87 gn out to wash it. Cranked and ran fine, came back two minutes later ( left it idling ) and it was not running. Tried to crank and just turns over. Has fuel pressure. Anyone with some quick advice on what to check? It's late and I would like to put it back in garage easily instead of pushing. Thanks.

Turns over and cranks are the same thing. You need to check for spark and injector pulse.

Thanks for the reply. I will check tomorrow to see if firing. Everyone please reply with suggestions. Thanks.

Same problem here. No spark. What to check, in addition to fuses?

You need to know if your missing one of them or both of them.(spark/pulse) The result of that answers SOME questions right away.

In my case, I'm missing spark. And all the fuses checked out.

Crank sensor is ok. Has to be a wiring problem somewhere. Idiot lights aren't coming on when I turn the key on. Half the fuse box is not powered.

You have a short to ground and have fused one or more of the fusible links which are attached to the starter.

An easy way to check for pulse width without a mood light is to unplug the fuel pump after priming the system and see if the pressure drops as you crank. If it's not dropping there isn't pulse width on any injector.

Thanks for the replies. I spent time with my son today and will check on car another day.

Looks like crankshaft sensor. Any input on where to buy from or not to? Thanks

In my case, it was the ignition switch. Replaced that and all is fine.

I bought an Auto Zone one back in November '11 and it works great. Around $40 bucks after tax if I recall.

That was my problem. Changing alternator's and I guess the belt got caught on it and I pulled a hulk and destroied it. At least it didnt cost to much to replace and now the car runs great...First time ive ever heard the car idle with the correct chip too :D
