I have to start a new thread since mine was relocated. Not sure if i can keep pushing the car around in the garage since it has no transfluid in it. Should i put type F in or dextron?

I switched to Type F at the beginning of summer. Seems to work just fine. Have done a lot of driving this summer as well, including Power Tour. It appears to be holding up and performing well so far. When I change the fluid again this winter I'll replace with Type F again.

I run one of Bruce's trannies.

walmart up here does not sell type f wtf? They did have tdh tractor fluid, is this the same as 424 oil?

Vince Janis recommends the good ol Dexron III w/ Mercon V fluid...seems to work fine in my rebuilt tranny?

Norb's
Wallymart does sell Type F, only in 1L bottles, no 4L jugs. Also their TDH tractor fluid has the same specs as Mobil 424.

Could anyone who switched from Dexron to Type F feel a difference in shift firmness? I have an 85 GN tranny in my 87 and the shift kit shifts a little too soft unless I give it more throttle than usual. I plan on putting a billet servo in it soon.
