That is your decision.
I used it.
It's over 10 years old with no problems.

V band and flat flange gasket is a pretty precise fit.
Original has a ball socket for misalignment movement.

Finally getting around to it , mocking up the new 2.5 SS uppipe . It has a slightly different angle , which is shooting down more towards the header compared to stock up pipe what do u guys think ? I still have to add the flex pipe and the other end that goes to the header

Be conscious of the down pipe flange position where it will bolt to the header & the AC compressor hose where it bolts to the back of the compressor. There is little to no room between the two. I had to grind the "new flange" about a quarter inch & use a flathead machine bolt for the hose to compressor. If you are going to reuse the "old flange" from the old up pipe then you'll probably have a lot more room since its narrower than a "new flange". Curious how your going to marry up the up pipe to the header ball & socket.

I have completely deleted the a/c system, my plan is to install this aftermarket header utilize the same mating flange on it with the upipe piece u see in the pic once I bolt up the header I will see how much of the header upipe neck needs to be cut away so I can weld the new stainless pipe and flex pipe to the pipe attaching to the turbo, I will be modifying the upipe bolted to the turbo as well and will be using the same flange once measured and cut to size

I like what you did there !!! Who needs AC anyhow. Just roll down the windows and go fast ;)

Yes. if you change out the studs use a lock nut on the new studs to secure the up pipe. Also you may want to install a
copper gasket.

What are the springs for and where do they go ? I remember having them on an old uppipe I use to have but I don’t have those anymore are they needed?

The attachments are for a stock down pipe (which you are not using). I accidently attached them when posting. Please disregard.

Different part. You could go with a lock nut & bolt.

The Stock assembly is:
Black-Oxide Steel Threaded on Both End Stud M10 x 1.5 mm Thread, 20 mm Thread Lengths, 50 mm Long
and a High-Strength Steel Distorted-Thread Flange Locknut Class 10, Black-Oxide, M10 x 1.5 mm Thread
