Just Wondering....

In the 60's & 70's & 80's we used to add a gallon of diesel fuel to a tank of gas to lubricate the upper cyclinders....Never had any problems. The last vehicle I did it to was an 84 Winnebago with a 454.

What is the efficacy of such a treatment nowadays. If you don't know what efficacy is, then you probably don't know the answer, so be sure you have some scientific opinions if you respond ;)

My guess is that it would be like adding a LOT of Sea Foam to the gas tank....? It smells the same. Will it clog a fuel filter -Some of these filters do crazy things....?
