Chasing a High BLM issue..

Bought a Vacuum pump, good old mighty vac works nice.. got to the fuel pressure regulator line and lost 1" of vac per second...

My FPR appears to be working correctly otherwise... 42 line off, 38 line on, 1 pound rise per lb of boost..

mighty vac direct to FPR still lost 1" vac per second.....

Can someone with a vac pump check to see if their FPR are the same????

THANKS!!!!!!

Hi,
Fuel regulator diaphragm should hold steady vacuum for a long time. Mityvacs suck. Literally. I would not trust yours as a gauge of the integrity of the pneumatic system you are testing. That's MY experience, anyway. Good luck with your trouble.

I just discovered this recently on my Accufab FPR, was doing the same thing with the mityvac. Turned out to be the rubber centered washer that goes under the lock nut was leaking.

Replace the washer or put a lil permatex #2 sealant on the adjuster screw
