I know this is a Regal forum, but I've got an 84' Riviera with a vinyl top that I want to remove. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this? How bad is it typically under the top?
Just take a utility knife and slice around the perimeter, then grab an edge and start pulling. As old as the adhesive is, it should pull right off. Just be prepared to see alot of gunk stuck to the roof. Take a good solvent and soak the adhesive, then just take a putty knife or a good scraper and go at it. Won't be too bad, but it'll take some time.
Keep in mind that when you pull up the chrome trim, there'll be little nubs that stick up that you'll have to grind down flush with the body
