If Jap cars don't go with American engines then why the hell are parts and info still available for a Chevy V8 into a 280Z still being made and marketed?

Not knockin the idea at all, but I'm not sure it really counts either. I only mean, what hasn't had a sbc thrown in it yet? My favorite was dropping a 305 in a GT 6 Triumph!

Got My first TR thinkin it'd be a great engine donor for my Opal GT! My Buick 'thing' kept me from following thru on it tho. Well, that and not figuring out a big3 factory axle/tube combination to build a strong rear end That narrow. I've always wondered how cool that would've been...

Thanks for the offer Charlie. At this time, I am not able to do the swap both financially and because of time constraints. It is something I will undertake in a few years or so. 87, its all yours.

Thanks again Charlie

I was refering to Chriss' friends comments about an American engine in a jap car.:)

I think some one's already put a Buick turbo engine in an opal GT already from some of the posts I've read. I think he's on TBs though.

Putting a Buick V6 turbo engine in a TR6 would be a hoot and a lot of fun to drive I'd bet. I always wanted one of them to play with. I also wouldn't mind playing with a Spitfire.

Ive thought about the 2jz into a GN swap for a while now. A big advantage to living in Canada is there are a ton of right hand drive toyota celsiors on the road up here. I would recomend looking around for a celsior instead of a supra for the swap. Same engine but way cheaper to buy a complete running car since the 2jz lives in a boring sedan and not a sports car..... my 2 cents!
