Was this too tight?

This is the band that came out of my trans,I left off the TV cable and smoked direct,the band however is only hot in the middle. Does this look likeit came form the TV mishap or something else? Trans had about 5k on it. Low 12 sec GN.

I am upgrading to a billet drum with dual feed direct clutches,and everythig else is just getting freshened. Thinking about using a carbon band also. And the TV cable will be hookd up .

That band looks all good IMO. Might have hi spot in drum. If it was my personal band I would run it. Most 200 failures are from pressure issues.

Yup with a straitght edge I can fit about .002 on either side of the hot spot. The book says any more that .005 and it's trash. I should be good? I will sand the center a little more agressively also.
