First of all welcome to Turbobuick.com, we might be glad you're here.

Please put a little information about yourself in your profile. It would be nice to know about where you are on Earth. Sometimes we know people that are close to you that can help with trouble shooting your new/old TR.

Please put some info about your car - such as year, known modifications and so forth. Rattling off all of your new problems without us having the benefit of knowing what you have to work with is pointless. Some of us will begin reading the thread, look at the bottom signature, see there's nothing there, and move on tho the next thread. Some will try to coax the info out of you.

We might seem a little judgmental at times with certain topics - our bad, this is a pretty diverse crowd.

Try to stick to the original topic....don't stray. Start another thread. We will be more than happy to highjack your thread and turn it into a political fiasco.....even if it has nothing to do with politics.

When you come up with a question in your head, look up top and try the search feature. It can and will bring up countless threads on your specific question...most of the time. If you don't believe me, type in "blow off valve" or "BOV" - notice in each one of those somewhere is a post from someone asking if the originator had tried the search feature. Hell, Type in "search" in the search feature box.

I'm sure a few people have some stuff they might want to add to this list. Just remember, play nice.

All that bothers me is the lack of searching for answers before posting a new thread. Someone this week in the tires forum asked about the biggest size that can be installed on stock wheels and it took me 10 seconds to supply them with 5 links to older threads all asking the same thing.

Oh yeah,,,, LOTS of newbies lately which is fine but I couldn't agree more with your post!

Another thing for the new guys and gals.... If you have a car for sale...... or want to know what a car is worth....PLEASE POST MORE THAN 1987 GN FOR SALE, $95,000 obo:o

Looking for my first GN. I heard the Fast and Furious Movie has a twin turbo GBX FBI car in one scene. I want to add twin BOVs on my GN when I get one so I won't loose to my buddy with a Honda CRX. He is really fast at shifting!

I still have NOZ from my old Nissan which somehow blew the hood off when I was passing a ZO6. My engine was pushing major power.

What turbo timer do you guys recommend?

OOOPS hijacked already:biggrin:

How about don't post questions in the How To's or Fabrication sections

Only on our Twin turbo FBI GNX's

I thought those had the twin turbo 455's all this time.... I am emberrassed to find out they were twin turbo 3.8:biggrin:

You know what is sad is some Ricer is reading this thread and going to post on his local forum this is THE LAW right here LOL:rolleyes:

When it gets cold that noise you hear that sounds like the windshield cracking is the windshield cracking. Get it replaced immediately. Sell the old one here for $5

You guys are rough. And here I was gonna post pix of my twin turbo GNX FBI car with the 5" fart can exhaust...

I guess my big gripe is some spelling and grammar. I'm not an expert by any means but some of these recent posts are painful to read. Limited or no punctuation, sketchy capitalization and no paragraphing makes a post hard to read. My .02.:p

Back from the dead for those who have just bought a car.

These cars were rare 20 years ago when they were new, as such there isn't a big market in aftermarket parts. All of our vendors are small shops who sell parts for the cars because they're interested. They don't have the market of a mustang or camaro so Jegs and Summit aren't interested. Because our vendors are small it sometimes takes them a while to ship parts, GET USED TO IT. If you want fast parts shipment go back to the Mustang or Honda.

I've got a some of good ones,

1. If you do not own or have never owned a T/R
2. If you are posting just to see your useless post count increase
3. If you feel the need to tell someone else how to do things

Shut the Hell up or grow up

The only thing that gets me is the instant gratification they expect. I had read everything at Turbo Regal. why?
They said that is where the info is. Than read everything at Vortec. Why? That is where they hid some more info.
Searched TurboTweak/Cottons/ Here. ect... (Actually used the search function) And I know a lot about cars.
There is nothing wrong with asking a question. But the answer is usually 2 threads down. I have noticed that when a newby ask ? after ?. He doesn't get near the response as some one who has read a little and attempted to troubleshoot or formulate his own answer.

Disclaimer: If you feel this was directed toward you it probably was.

if thats the case then first they need a bottle of ZDDPlus...for that extra lube:biggrin:

There should just be a spring cleaning section with link PM'd out apon sign up, telling em to go there and read before posting "Hey my car runs ruff"
