I have been dealing with this problem for a while now and as much as I've been wanting to upgrade my car this holds me back for the simple fact that it's annoying and it's not normal it leaks onto my crossover pipe creating smoke of course nothing to crazy but u can smell it as the car is up to temp I've never tackled this problem I don't have the space to do it so I'd like to know what other options I have actually what will it cost me to get this fixed?

My advice here is based on my experience with the same problem. I thought my car had a rear main seal leak and was smoking just like you described. I put some dye in the oil and checked later and it turned out to be the valve cover gaskets leaking down onto the crossover. Another similuar problem I had was leaking transmission line leaking and air flow blowing it onto the crossover pipe as well. I would do some more homework before chasing the rear main seal. My 2 cents. Brad

I will definitely do that then can I ask how do u usually do this dye process with all four tires on the floor or do u have it on jacks ?

i need to do this too. i've got oil all over the place as well. let us know what you find.

I did this by putting the dye into the engine oil and driving the car 75 miles. Hopefully your car can do this. Brad

Very similar experience(s).
I also had it leak from the turbo oil return, from the front of the oil pan - blowing back to the cross-over.
Most commonly, it is from the valve covers.

Profusely leaking cars suck, period.
