You have a turbo regal. Doesn't matter GN, we4 limited etc, if its a vin 7 car, nothing is going to make one worth 4k and the other worth significantly more than 4k in same condition.

Personally I always wanted a black T with chrome bumpers. Always thought that combo looked sharp.

Post some pics !!!!!
black with chrome trim cars are cool in their own right. If the car is solid and well maintained , no way in hell would it be worth only 4k !!!!!!!!!!!!

With a Burgandy interior I'm gonna say that this car did not start it's life as a Black car!!

In answer to your question about the aluminum bumper supports, Every 87 turbo-t i've ever seen has the vd6 + vd7 aluminum bumper supports, not saying there isn't some out there that have the steel, but vd6 + vd7 is certainly not rare on a turbo - t most had them.
From what i've seen on the gn's it looks like about half had the steel + half had the aluminum,(kind of odd).
The aluminum drums just mean your car came with a single track rear instead of a posi .
And even if it was a we4, it's not worth any more then a standard turbo-t,especially if its in rough enough shape to be in the $4000 range.

What would make you state that?

Bryan
I don't know has anybody seen an original black car with a Burgundy interior?? I don't recall ,most were White, Rosewoods/ Burgundy, even seen grey ones.

Take a look at thetag in post 11

The car left the factory black...

I believe my car to be originally black and it has a maroon interio. I haven't checked the rpo sticker yet. Its an '85

Look at the cowl tag under the hood and the spid sticker under the deck lid for the 19u code.

Its not the car thats in "rough enough shape" Divorce and laid off in the same month makes my finances in "rough enough shape" ..lol.

You can go to GM Media Archive and with the VIN and $50 you can get the dealer invoice on the car.

Amen botha! VIN7 rules!

I'm a big fan of the trishield. And I do like a Black Regal.

The first pic of the black t, are those factory t wheels chrome plated? They look good!!

Kirban imput:

I talked to this gentleman today explaining to him it was not a WE4 model as they came out later. Most interiors for black would have been grey but burgundry and blue interiors was also possible.

most of the features he mentioned earlier on this thread is not particularly interesting as far as being unusual one one noted exception which has been pointed out . The black out package this was discontinued on a black exterior T when the WE 4 introduced reason being to avoid confusion.

Although no records exist I am aware of its safe to bet that fewer than a few hundred 1987 Turbo-T black exterior with chrome bumpers and the WO2 black out package exist. I have had at least 2 going by memory.

While it may be considered rare the WE4 because it is better known would attract more interested buyers.

Again just my opinion...

denniskirban@yahoo.com

the aluminum supports etc have no real bearing as to rariety....desireable yes. anything that deducts weight from the car is more desireable. Again stating my opinion.

Did any regals come with all the Alm. stuff without being a WE4 ??

my understanding is that the aluminum parts aren't really special, but rather a part of one or more option packages... my 84 T Type has the aluminum bumper supports, but not the aluminum drums since it has the G80 positraction rear end..

Thank you everyone for your input !! I just joined this site a few days ago, and did'nt expect much input, how ever I was very wrong. Great information and Very helpful !!

Mr. Kirban, Thank You for your time yesterday.
