Went to an 1/8th mile track with buddies car, here are the numbers

Car had a TE44 @ 14lbs of boost(due to cracked header)

60' = 2.075
330' = 5.630
1/8 = 8.552
MPH = 83.91

Now, this was on 94 octane, with a R93 chip burnt for the injectors(not turbo)

I was pretty impressed, I mean fix the crack(ATR Headers(currently Hooker :( )), race gas/chip, turn boost to ~25psi, cut a 1.6 or so 60' and if I'm doing the math right, 6.xx in the 1/8? and 10.xx in the 1/4?

Car is no where near stock, and has a very similar buildup to mine.

There is a big difference between a 6.X car and one that runs 8.5's. Turn up the boost with a 1.6 60 ft and 7.5's will be easy. 6.X's will take WAYYYY more mods or TGLT (Turbo God Like Tuning).

like UNGN said, you absolutely cannot interpolate a car's (and driver's) performance until you actually do it....there seems to be a lot of guys that "say" thus and so is easy, but haven't done it themselves

I tend to view those opinions as not reliable......

for some reason there is an attitude on this BB that any old TR should be able to run at least 11's (or whatever) with no problem and minimal expense......as everyone knows who has been there, that is a load of crap!

go out and run the number and then folks will listen

Ditto what Woody said ...

You need about 10 more MPH in the 1/8 for 6.xx too.

A high ten takes 6.9x-7.0x @ 93-96 MPH ....
