1. is this a good combo
2. what kind of ET" do you think
3. how much power do you think this combo should make

You are going to need some good injectors.
I would say the 60-65HighZs are a great choice.
We ran out of fuel with the 50s and the 54 but we
have ported heads.

The intercooler is ok, but with how cheap the PT Stock Location is, I would not bother with the older cores.

The converter is a little small for the 54 also.
I would go with a 3200-3400.

You should be able to go 11.5s with slicks and race gas.

thank you for the reply
the intercooler is already in the car
3,200 stall is that better for turbo spool
is this turbo real streetable
do this turbo come on boost fast for street driving

My pleasure to help when I can.
The extra stall will help the turbo spool.
The turbo is not bad with matched to the correct set up.
Remember too much torque off of the line will just blow your tires off.

For my car I am considering the GT61.
I have heard that these turbos are very similar.
I really should save that money for my race car though.

thanks for info
how do they rate turbo hp
do they rate turbo's on stock motors non stock motors
I see the pt-54 is rated at 620 HP
how much power think you were getting out of yours

Based on the car weight and mph we were getting 590HP at mid 20s PSI. We only had about 18* of timing in the car.

The turbo hp is a conversion from CFM.
Some of the ratings are guesses because they do not have maps for every turbo combination.

I'd have to say a good stock loc stretch IC is money well spent when getting up in the higher boost with an efficient turbo. Remember, the bigger the turbo, the cooler the charge temp, but temp are going to skyrocket once you pass 20-22#, so an efficent IC is a good investment to prevent knock. As far as the turbo, I'd go right up to the 61 series, the PT61 or similar. If you already have the 3k stall convertor, then a GT61 compressor with a 31E exhaust wheel and .63 A/R will spool awesome on the street. I have that same wheel combination on my car with a 2700 stall convertor and it works well, but a slightly looser convertor would be perfect. I ran a 7.23 @ 96 in the 8th and 1.66 60' with this setup and mods in sig. If you don't have the convertor, then the more popular 52 exhaust wheel can be used with a 3200 stall convertor.

pt 54

already have the turbo
I will go with a 3,200 stall in stead of the 3,000
which stock location intercooler gives the most bang

thank you for the info

You'll need the higher stall. I'm running a 3500, but I have the .85 housing on the turbo.

I pulled 405 hp and 545 tq to the rear wheels on 23lbs of boost and 23* timing with very little tuning on pump gas and alky.
