obviously the heater core and blower motor, but i have evrything disconected, is there an inlet and outlet or doesnt matter on the heater core? it goes from the water pump heater core, than heater core to right side on the throttle body inlet? do any vacume lines need to be connected i see theres on on the passanger side fender, is that just for the vent or floor switch? thanks, its a bit chill here in the north east lol

You need to be a little more specific. Are your hot water lines still connected and a vac. valve in line w/the heater core, or is that disconnected also? There is a door inside that sometimes causes problems and won't open and close to provide htg and cooling air flow. I believe the type of controls you have, manual or electronic makes a differance in it's operation. I don't remember off hand.

The only pic. I have is an aftermarket water valve (plastic) but it shows the inlet on the right side and the drain on the left side. T's are in there to water cool a DBB turbo. Vacuum is needed on the water valve from the heater control head vacuum switch on the HOT/Cold slider control.

it should be noted that the above pic is nowhere near OE configuration.

the vac source to the hvac controller (inside the dash above radio) besides controlling fresh air doors it switches the vac signal that goes to the heater diverter valve (can be a brass OE or the round flat aftermarket valve) that is inline of the water linesfrom the intake
the diverter valve can be either open or closed depending on the vac applied and if its closed then no coolant flows through the heater coreand no heat inside

one of the black plastic vac lines goes to the diverter
the other goes to the hvac controller and is also teed in at the hvac check valve which has a reservior teed in to hold vaccum reserve to operate the interior hvac door.

the hvac controller also controls the heater door via cable (lever is behind glove box on top of hvac box)to open or close the door from cold fresh air that passes around the ac eveporator core , or air that passes through the heater core
if the lever brakes off (common) then the air door could be closing off the air from heater core and allowing only air from the a/c cold side

and if you have a working a/c system selecting defrost will also engage the a/c compressor

with car off remove the rubber vac line on driverside of the hvac check valve to the reserve ball it should hiss indicating you have vaccum stored , if it doesnt you have a leak or a bad hvac check
moving on .. rebuild the reserve vaccum and if you remove the plastic vac line from the heater diverter valve it should move (oe valve) if it doesnt it may be corroded inside and stuck closed

Here's a stocker.

I'd bypass the heater water valve for the winter and plug any open vacuum lines but since the car is running I assume that's already done.

Inlet is still on the right side. ;)

i have 2 direct hoses from the heater core, and the 2 vacume lines that are for the manual controls,no valve or anything else is involved, when summer comes im just gonna bypass them

what do the 2 vacume lines go to and what do they control?
