I am currently building a 85 Hot Air from ground up.But just about everything on the market is for 86/87's.I looked into scanmaster but i dont think it will work with 85.I just want to know whats going on with the car,and proper tune it,IAC,MAF,all sensors...ect. Can anyone help thanks....

I like the powerlogger with wb-o2 , but you would have to convert to a 86/87
ECM to run that .

I used autoxray scaner before I got the pl. which was hard to tune with
the pl is much faster

Best thing to do is just get an 87 ecm and the iat sensor. Buy the wiring from caspers and get a tt chip. Get a powerlogger and lc-1 from fullthrottle and you will be set. So ya

87 ecm
Powerlogger
Lc-1

Do the ecm conversion, the 84-85 has limited function and higher failure rate.

X3 Here.
The ability to get more data with the 87 ECM, log and review the variables with PL, and chip availability through TT is worth the $$.
Of course, if all you are doing is a stock restoration at stock performance levels, than the OTC2000 or OTC4000 with a stock chip are fine.
