What is the best street and strip turbo out there? I have a orange stripe converter, 50 inj, basic bolt ons. have a pte 51 on there know just wanted to know next step up.Thanks

Who makes them? Where can I get one? How Much? Is it still streetable? Does it bolt UP to downpipe with no mods? Sorry for all the questions just need to know! Thanks in advance

Call Jack Cotton at Cottons Performance in Agawam, Mass.

Probably around $1600-$1700 or so, and worth it. :)

Turbonetics would be the maker.

There are tons of good streetable turbos out there, what's the matter with your PTE51?

Stock heads and cam you should get about 28psi. out of it I would think.

That's my goal for my GN before upgrading mine.

Nothing really wrong with it I was just checking to see if it is a very good turbo, I have cnc heads and a gs club cam.

Not sure if I would consider CNC heads and a cam. as "basic" bolt ons but with your setup bigger is better. ;)

Not sure why people post their full combo.'s at the end of threads either.

hey i have this ta62 with about 1000 miles ill trade for a go turbo that will work on my set up:D

The problem is everyone's idea of street is different. You can go 11.50 all day on a te44 and you could do the same on a 70. Do you want to runs 9s or 11s with this car. Do you want to run a 4000 stall or 3000 ? you have to set your goals then decide what to do

te44 4 sale

im sellign my te44 with less than 15 runs on it only one season old, going to bigger setup. $600 will not ship though

i think the question should be- do you want to run 24 lbs boost or 17 psi to get the same results- whats easier on the motor?

I don't think either one is more a strain on the motor if proper fueling is used, power is power, whether obtained by more boost, or larger volume and efficiency, both have the same out come. But I do see your point when you consider one boost level is obtainable on pump gas. As asked earlier, what your goals are is very important in your factor, don't underestimate the 49/44s. The next step up would be a 61 IMO, but why? the same combo you have as long as the 51 stays together can be very fast, and you wont have to change convertors. A 51 should be very fast with heads and a cam.

I run c 16 gas at the track I would like to run 25lbs of boost, I am not unhappy with my turbo but just wanted to know how fast can it go with that turbo? And how fast with a bigger one? I also have a charged air intercooler on it!
