UNGN,

Also, in NHRA Stock Eliminator, HP is factored, not weight. Weight is shipping weight as reported by the manufacturer - it never changes.

It's also never accurate. If Ford were to "accidentally" put the shipping weight of a 302 car on a big block car, some racer will look at the rule book 25 years later and say "gee, I get a 200# weight break if I run a Fairlane body instead of a roadrunner or Camaro".

The Same could have been done a few years ago with a TTA.

the 427/425 '67 Failane is a mid 13 second car at best in real stock trim and that is being generous. I'd bet most ran low 14's, stock.

Factory 12:1 compression and dual 4's make it real easy to hide an 8500 RPM race motor inside the factory motor specs.

Using your own, previous logic of NHRA Power to weight, the ZL1 Camaro wins hands down.

I also don't put too much stock in NHRA stock "records". It seems they are corrected to Std Day (unless Boise, ID is below sea level). No wonder the NHRA embraces ricers
