trans was built by len freeman and has a brake.

what is the best fluid to use?

does the cast aluminum pan kit offer any performace gain/longevity for the trans?

Dexron III is all you need. Extend the pickup tube and use a bottom rear feed filter in the deeper pan. Extending the pickup and bottom feeding will mini,ize the chance of cavitating and burning the forward clutches or direct drum on the 1-2. Definitely needed for a hard launching car with a brake.

I use type F gives a more firm shift and seems to last longer

the fluid still looks good. was just going to upgrade the system and put new fluid/filter in.

the trans performs flawlessly and shift very,very nice and firm everytime.

so dexron 3 it is along with the cast pan and extended filter.
