You will get alot of opinions on this. I would say Delco R43TS and gap at .035" for a stock GN.

I was having issues with miss at high boost and r.p.m. I ended up going with NGK-UR5's, gapped at .032, no more issues. I didn't go with the AC R43's as the parts guy only had 4 of them in stock and I didn't feel like running all over town looking for the other 2. Might I suggest you have a 1" extension handy for the last plug on the passenger side, you'll need to to get that plug out, the rest are a piece of cake.

high boost tighten the gap .28=.25 no issues after that 28 plus

gotta question also...when i look at local parts store NAPA or online places all im seeing as far as AC Delco stuff is R44ts's...i have a 86 gn stock engine, ta49 turbo, 50# injectors...mostly drive to shows and cruises...but once in awhile will take it to track and boost it up to around 20... would the ACr44ts's be ok for this? they have Autolite 23's in there now...

The AC R44TS was the stock plug intended for 15 - 17 lbs of boost. The R43TS is a colder plug as is the Autolite #24 and generally used with 17 - 20 #s. Your Autolite #23 (another step colder) is generally used with 20 #s and up.

x2 on the NGK's

To remove #6 plug on a GN, use a Universal Swivel socket on the end of your sparkplug socket,an Two Long Extensions...There's an " indentation " on the A/C box's Heat-Shield you use for the path....It's just as easy as the others if done this way 8^)

yep, i used a swivel and an extension or two on #6...piece of cake. I also took plugs out while i have the valve covers off to replace gaskets...that makes it a little easier too. I think drivers side valve cover is a female dog to get out!!! yikes...wiring harness, vacuum crap, alternator...grrr... all out though.

question...I have autolite 23's on the way, i am eventually going to be running an alky kit, 93 octane, ta49, 50# injectors, and probably 22-24 lbs. of boost.... what would u all recommend on gap on these plugs? and will i notice anything just normal driving around with these plugs and not "racing" if you will....
