I am doing a rebuild right now I have a redstripe 2800 stall.

This is my curent combo, as all this has come together in the last few months.

TE-62

009s

extender chip

translator +

postons 202 cam with (I think) 100lb springs.

dble roller chain

pts shift kit

pts pressure regulator

JJ 62 TB

Stock: heads and headers with cross over

2 stacked Gn intercoolers with 2 1/2 pipe

cold air box

3" Dp and 3 1/2 exhaust

larger puck

3.27:1 gears with a power trax noslip locker

I run 26X9s slicks at the track

225/45/17s on the road

Also up grading to alky later this year I hope, because I am running out off fuel after 90mph

I really like the restripe it has worked well with stock turbo. I burnt up 2nd gear band so I had alot of black death in the bottom of the pan.

So What do you guys think? Experts please chime in. By the way the Transmission book from ck performance is great. One other thing I would like a lock up too.

My car is 3000# with me in it and 1/4 of gas

I liked the 3200 stall single disk 10" lockup Protorque with my TA62.

Using it now (the converter) with the DBBL 70, and the 62 is a backup turbo for both cars.

Any quality approx. 3000-3400 stall converter should work well.

5 disk Vigilante for serious lockup racing.

I lock up the single disks on my cars in 3rd gear when racing but that's about twice a year with each car.

I had basically the same set up as you last year and ran 11.7 @ 119 after Bill Anderson sent my transmission out for rebuild and upgraded to a 9/11 converter.

IS THAT A 10/11 OR A FULL 10 INCH?WHO MAKES IT?
 
I have a Yank SS Converter that is just sweet. It drives around town about like a stocker, until you lean on it. It's 2,800 stall at 0 boost. I can powerbrake it to 3,200 while in boost staging. I got the HD TCC, so it should last me for about forever.

IMO, go to 60 PPH injectors, and alky. :)
 
Hey Chris,
I am running a Pats 10" 3200 stall XHD Lockup in my Buick and like it alot. It feels just like the stock converter around town until I stall it up from a dead stop.
If you want to take my car out for a spin and try out my converter let me know ,, you are more then welcome to :D

Thanks guys for the info. I am going to get the redstripe taken apart and checked out. I can build 6# on this one just thought I would ask. The power band on my turbo kicks in at 2800 and is also has a smaller 63 exhaust housing.
