hi everyone i am just putting my motor together 109 block 20 over je piston floating /ported champion 70mmthrottle and gn1 70mm plenum champion 8 bolts atr headers 206/206 roller morels t&d 1.65 rockers/power plate/te44 turbo /60 injecters just want to know if the stock converter is good for my combo.

You will probably do ok it cause it doesn't take a whole lot to spool a 44, but I would get rid of it..Go with a 10" 2800 stall and that will serve you well with that turbo...

3K isnt to much, just alittle over kill for that small turbo

talk to dusty bradford on the board, he can spec you a converter.

No too much in that it won't work, but just more than is needed.....

Why is it more than needed, what will be the downside?

With a 44/49 turbo in a GN, we have put about 100 or more 12" stock converters in GN's that have been upgraded to max stall, which is usually stated at 3000 RPM.

No one has ever complained, just the opposite, response is better?

i live in florida how much would it cost for shipping from 33322 and the restall.

The reason I suggested getting a 2800 1o" stall is because he will have to pay to ship out the stock converter pay have it restalled and pay to ship it back to him...It will work fine for him, but why not just upgrade to a new coverter to go with all the nice upgrades he already has vs dumping money into a stocker...If his stock converter has already been restalled then he will be ok, but he stated it was just a stock converter.....

I used to have a restalled 2800 stock converter i ran with a TE-60 I had..It did work fine as you have mentioned Nick....
