What's everyone doing for heat in the winter?

Actually, I have a 5500 BTU Dayton overhead gas furnace that has been working for about 20 years in my Dad's garage. I paint cars and parts all winter.

nice. anyways you guys would laugh if you knew what i used for heat. i usally get sick every winter working on the floor.

I have a 35000 sterling hanging unit .Noticed last year that heat exchanger is cracked. I just picked up a 95% furnace that was damaged for 120 bucks.we are going to make it a fresh air set up. Just to let you guys know if you use alot of chemicals like brake clean and carb clean. the fumes go up your chimney and will rot the galvanized piping. My friends did. it collapsed and nothing was getting out. inspect chimney or fall asleep slowly.I also have a carbon monoxide tester .everyone better have one of those.

My 30,000 BTU unit hangs on the wall and has no flue. Because it is ventless it raises the humidity level in the garage quite a bit but I haven't really seen any ill-effects. Actually the aluminum under the hood on the GN did the worst the winter it spent in my dad's UN-heated garage - got all corroded.

I have a carbon monixide detector upstairs and downstairs. If I let the GN idle for more than a few seconds in the garage (doors open, of course) those things start screaming. It's nice to know they work.
