i have a 70 trim with a .63 i was just thinking i wouldn't have to turn it up as much to get the desired results with the 76
You have to look at a compressor map to know if you could benefit from a larger compressor wheel based on the mass flow of the engine under power and the intended operating rpm. The biggest gains would be on the exhaust side if you wanted it all. It wouldnt happen with the 3 bolt though.

just asking if a 76 trim with a .85 housing is to big for a built 109

I used to run a 76gtq on an iron headed stock motor with stock bottom end.......cracked the #3 saddle once i got into the 134mph range.
With a built motor you should be ok with a safe tune, Good Luck!

What's the fastest a 3 bolt has gone?

I think Kereny has the record that is with a non cantaloupe housing.

9.14 @ 148+ TSM legal.

I think thats correct. The PT88 cantaloupe would go faster but they changed the rules an killed that one. I wonder what it would go if it was light and didnt have to conform to TSM?

I think Cal was more involved with that track outing than Nick. It was a 45/08 like Cal said above. He wasn't too far behind that with the 3 bolt turbo, I'm sure if he could have been lighter it would have been 9.0's at 150-152. That's awesome.
