I get E-mails all the time from "concerned parents" because my son drives his 10 mph Power Wheels without a helmet.

Of course he wears a Snell 2000 Helmet, neck collar and fire suit when he drives his 45 mph go-kart.

Back in the "good old days" kids rode bikes on TV without helmets or even shoes.

Sure I have relatives missing toes and with false teeth because of it, but they learned valuable life lessons that kids today don't.

Kid's today learn when things go wrong, it's not their fault.

They grow up to be adults that think "the bank wouldn't give me this loan if I couldn't afford it".

Man, I remember those. I never need one though, did alright without one.
Man you are making me feel old.

You're wise yet somewhat ugly. :D

Remember when we could have 20 to 30 cars involved in a horrendous accident and no one was hurt? Now, a 2 mph rear ender and 31 people are taken to the hospital.

We fell out of trees, we shot pellet guns at each other, we put fire crackers in our pockets and lit them, we ate bugs......

AND NO ONE DIED.

Today's politically correct and overly protective young people don't understand.

I say let's go retro....we'll be better off.

Hey, Chuck Leeper (stuck in the 20's) where are you?

Now we see where the X-Games started! They were way ahead of their time.
All those kids needed was some DEW! ;)

I remember kid down the street had a schwinn stinger with the fat slick and 4 on the floor..lol we were full of envy and he always made it a point to let us know how cool it was, while I had some cobbled junk.

then his dad backed over it and gave new meaning to the banana seat. it wasnt long after that some new kid moved in from Cali with an early style BMX'r and the game changed
