ok guys, I confess, doing a big no-no here. I'm posting without doing probably more than 3 minutes of searching. I'm fixing to head out the door and won't be back for awhile. I'm in a hurry to find out and I'm sure this will be a easy one.

Is the stock driveshaft fine into the mid 11's? I know its kind of vague question because differant boost levels on launch and things like trans brakes may put alot more stress on it??? but i've no plans on ever having a trans brake installed.

When you are transbraking in the high 1.40's 60's or foot braking to mid to low 1.40's 60's are good points to consider a driveshaft. Its not needed if you in the 1.60 range or even 1.50's unless your car is much heavier than 3500 lbs.

IMO If the car runs in the mid 11s I would replace it espically if you drive it to the track. My car 60s in the mid 1.5x range and I replaced it a while back just because I would rather not have to worry about it breaking on me and having to be towed home :)
