which transmission do i need??!!

I'm new to these cars. putting a pontiac GTP engine into an '83. Which transmission(s) will fit the car and engine?
Will I need a different drive shaft?

Searched this site for info til my eyes burned. May have missed a thread. Surely I'm not the first to ask.

Please help!!

You need an auto from a SeriesII 3800 Fbody. Your engine has the really small FWD bell housing pattern.
