Is Vitali Klitschko not considered white?

Or the FRA, GBR, ITA, IRL, RUS 2008 Olympic Boxing Medalists?

It appears to me like there are more whites in the heavier classes, nothing more, nothing less.

As far as boxers defending themselves from the ground game and kicks goes, you guys are right. The MMA guys have a definite advantage. But the fight would be hard to predict because a boxer only needs one good shot and its all over. MMA guys don't particularly move their heads too much. And they always say if you don't keep your head moving you opponent will move it for you.

Some of them have chins... I garuntee some of them hit just as hard as a boxer... I am sure Ice man would trade blows with him:cool:

"after hearing the video clip he is linguistically challenged also."
Must have forgotten his teleprompter...

You're right. I'm sure some of them do have chins. But i'm concerned with the elite boxers using those small gloves. The power shots and combos would (could) be deadly. Literally.
Imagine Roy Jones in his prime or Manny Pacquiao. That combo of speed in power is unreal and probably cant be defended against.

Boxers are Professional athletes. MMA fighters are not.
If you really think this your smoking crack or pushing something I.V. Boxing has been around for much longer, but look at how the guys who were pro boxers and how they have fared in MMA  Now look at the MMA fighters that have tried to transition into Pro Boxing  lemme give you a hint, they have not fared well on both accounts... exception is Marcus Davis and he is not a top ranked fighter in either Profession. I love boxing, but to say MMA is not a professional sport makes you sound as stupid as Mayweather... who in all likelihood is going to get KTFO by a small Flip named Manny... unless he ducks the fight like so many so called Professional boxers do, don't see that in the Amateurish BS in MMA.....

Mayweather is the animal if u ask me. He sounds like someone who knows dam well that he could not compete in MMA which is why he refers to them as animals.

It's his his pathetic and very obvious way of turning down any furure MMA fight challenge because he will just say "That sport is for animals and im no animal"....lol The excuses have started already and he hasn't even been challenged. I look foward to seeing him loose.

What a true coward.

Two completely different sports. MMA is the total package where your skill set can vary to hide a fighters short comings. Meaning if my standup game is not that good, I can take you down and try to ground and pound you or go for a submission. Boxing, is only one way to fight, and that's with your hands. No knee's, elbows, take downs, submissions etc. So if you have a good ring presence and lots of skill, the stronger fighter doesn't always win.
Both are awesome sports but are geared completely different to even allow a comparison between the two. IMO a MMA fighter would not last in a boxing ring with a skilled boxer and vise versa if a boxer got in the cage with a skilled MMA fighter.

Why dont you read the rest of my paragraph before you open your big mouth. MMA is a newer sport. Of course they are professionals, but what I am saying is they have not reached the potential of that sport yet. Whereas boxing theywont get any better, they've already hit their peak. Maybe some better fighters, but there will be nothing new in boxing. There are new things going on with MMA on a daily basis. Again watch the early days of UFC and watch it now. In 100yrs it will be a totally different sport. In 100yrs boxing will probably be the same. Get what I am saying?

X2 Exactly what I am trying to say

Tyson was bas azz in his day, but he is a little old to fight today. How do you think Tyson would stand up to few kicks to the outer thigh or a flying knee to the lower jaw?
Tyson is a straight up street fighter from the Bronx who just happened to be stronger, faster and more technical then any other professional fighter of his time.

Tyson would kick the sh!t out of just about any of the MMA fighters. Even today. He is 43 yrs old. So what, Foreman was 45 when he won the heavy weight title of the world. You can't compare Tyson to Mayweather. Apples/oranges. One is a straight up fighter. The other is a glorified boxer with great skills. Both will go down as greats but Tyson is in a league all by himself.

Its not a black or white thing, its Mayweather promoting his fight to draw the crowds that make him the number 1 draw in boxing. Its called pumping up your own stock. That's what they get paid to do, put ass's in seats. If his next fight doesn't draw over a certain amount, then his next fight after Sept18th is going to be a good cut in his pay scale. Thus shifting the number 1 draw to the winner of Manny or Cotto fight. So drama, controversy is the name, and Floyd Mayweather is the game:biggrin:

Tyson I believe is the most gifted heavyweight boxer ever. However his career was messed up by Don King, and others he surrounded himself with. Nowadays he is way too old, and too slow. I dont really know how he would do in MMA. I would still pick Tyson to KO Kimbo, and or Bob Sapp right now. What do you guys think?

Foreman was a beast, and didnt rely much on speed like Tyson did. And as you probably already know, your speed is the first to go when you get old.

I would venture to bet if Tyson got serious and began training again he would still be faster then any other current heavy weight today.

He's not 80, he's 43. There are numerous great professional athletes in their 40's. He wasn't great, he was the greatest of all time. Big difference.
