Probably Richard Clark out of NC by what Dennis Kirban says.

Rumorville.

I worked at Lynch buick/chevrolet in Chicago years ago and it was supposedly common knowledge by all the employees that the son of old man Lynch had started buyin up a bunch of GNXs for his private collection. I remember one of the Buick Techs saying that he had a few really low numbered cars and one of the last few made. I was wondering if anyone ever tried to put a list together to see how many have survived? I ask that because about 2 weeks ago I saw a GNX on a Body shop auction site that was missing the dash and a bunch of other stuff.

There is currently a list of the cars that are around....Due to privacy it really is not given to the public.

Using Dennis Kirban's biography as a reference. Richard Clark hands down has the largest Turbo Regal collection.

According to Dennis's book, Richard has 3 GNX's; one has only 5 miles on it as mentioned earlier, one is a Stage 1 and the other is a "driver". I counted 8 GNs sitting outside Richard's 5,000sq ft shop dedicated for TR, which include 8 complete LC2 motors and one complete GNX motor. Dennis also mentions that he has the complete tooling for the GNX suspension.

Nonetheless an impressive collection of TR compared to my extra set of rims in the attic :)

So, 3 GNX's owned by one person looks like the most that we know about ?

Since this post started I have added a beautiful low mileage GN to my collection.

I need help...still looking for another GNX if anyone knows of one.

Richard has one hell of a collection... he started buying parts from Buick back in the day before they were discontinued. He has complete brand new GN and ttype interiors.

He also has Trailors (semi trailors) that are on his land that were filled with parts.

I have not talked to him in years, but I did see his GNX driver at a car audio event years back I think it had around 60k at the time. His one GNX had 5.9 miles and is still wrapped in plastic.

He is a collector and did not plan to sell anything (I asked) :)

He is a very nice guy (very smart too... :) )

I wonder how Richard came into his wealth. It is kinda obvious he has the jack, but I wonder what business he is in.....

He is an electrical engineer. He owns numerous companys (one being AutoSound 2000), and he has numerous patons (sp?) on different things.

He does (or atleast used to) seminars and consulting also for the car audio industry.

He also owns the speakerworks GN, one of, if not THE most successful car to compete in car audio competitions.

I have heard from a very reliable source that Richard Clark has around 25 GN's plus the GNX's.

Mike

O.K this may be of some help. GNX #358 is for sale just up the road from me. It was actually the first GNX I had ever seen, saw it at a car show last year It had 17k on it then. I talked to the owner then and came to find out that it was voted best GNX at bowling green one year. The car is spotless. I believe he said he is the 2nd owner. Is there some sort of finders bonus? He's asking $49,000
