I have thought this will be done by Reynolds if not before.

I see several here on the board....

JohnC has gone 9.80's with a non billet 67 on pump gas and alky..... I am thinking a billet 62 might come close to that in the "right" hands.

I am curious to see who does it first... and what combo they have...

You did mean 6's in the 1/8 mile didn't you? ;)

I saw turbo buick cars run the 1/8 mile in the 9's way back in the mid 90's with very few mods.

John :)

Alright, let me be the devil's advocate here. I don't foresee the billet-62 being a 9-sec. capable turbo on our cars @ full weight. Maybe someone will prove me wrong...

The billet-6768 on the other hand... Hopefully I'll know about this one first hand here soon...

You might be right.... but didn't someone go 10.30's with a PT51? ....... I know there have been some real low 10's on a 45A.... and I think time will tell the billet 62 is just as much a man..... IMHO.... full weight or not.... I dunno..... I have thought about selling my near new 45A and buying a journal bearing billet 62.... seeing as mine is primarily a street car anyway....

If someone built one with the 80 trim ex it would be very capable of running 9's

I like the 45a's... Been using them since the Bristol event back in '99, mostly with Q-trim ex. wheels though. If I had the 45a tuned and wanted an upgrade... Well I'll let you know how the billet-6768 works out...

In my case....I have a near new 45A with a 63 Garrett housing.... and I have an 82 Garrett housing for it.... I also have a 70 P-trim with a 63 Garrett housing....The exhaust wheels are the same... so the 82 housing will work on the 70 as well.... The 70 has the H-housing with the 4" inlet and 3" outlet..... I am using the 45A as a backup.

I was hoping the THS class would limit the turbo size to a 62.... I would definately sell the 45A for one of those to run for that class if I decide to run in that class....

IMHO... the new billet 67's put you in a $10k - $20K 109 buildup if you are going to push the envelope.... I can't and won't do that.

When the day comes I want 9's or faster.....the next step for me will be a turbo'd LS style V8.....and matching 4L80E.

...Just read Raymond's post on his billet-6265, sounds very promising!!
