What do you people expect us to do? This place doesnt run for free. We need to bring in $1300 a month just to keep the doors open. You want no ads? Fine, Ill remove them all but we're going to have to go back to a shared server with no managed support and the user experience is going to drop hugely because this site needs a powerhouse server to keep it going.

I honestly dont know what to do. Everyone complains about ANYTHING we do to make money and you all expect this place to run for free. Im trying to do it in the least obstructive way I can. Head over to an Autoforums forum and look at the user experience over there and come back and talk to me again about how bad you have it.

Don't have a choice... It has to generate a certain amount of money to keep the place running.... Currently some of the vendors are struggling and I am tyring to help as much as possible... The ad rate dropped SIGNIFACNTLY after the update for some reason... I really don't care if it MAKES money, I just can't stand a LOSS from it...

It is what it is, economics...

I may consider an ad free version with a membership fee, I am not sure...

Another option we have discussed. We also have the iPhone and Android apps in the works if I ever get the art work.

Shane summed it up. We have to break even. This is the only way to do it.

There are things I can do to make this less intrusive and after Im able to trend it for a bit, Ill probably pull back on it being EVERYWHERE.

Be glad you guys are logged in. People who are not logged in see a LOT more ads than you do.

I dont care if people complain as long as they are reasonable. Hell, I complain about everything. But the bottom line is we need money coming in to keep this place open and I dont know any other way to do it. The vendors cant sustain this place nor should they have to.

We've offered before Shane and I know you didn't want to do it but I'd start with donations first. If it takes subscriptions then so be it but start with donations. You might be able to set it up as a non profit as well.
