Sorry about the obvious beginner question, but I was looking at the AEM Wideband and I'm not sure if there's a point in getting one or not. I just got a turbotweak 5.7 chip, so it's not supported. Is there value in it just from a monitoring or diagnostic standpoint?

I think a WBO2 is a great choice even if you just have the gauge for monitoring since it will make tuning your car much easier since you can still look at it at WOT and see where you are at at far as A/F ratio goes.

Get it. You will love it. I can't believe I went as long as I did without the gauge.

Ordering now. Just trying to decide on what other gauge to get for the console holder. Have boost, oil pressure, temp in a-pillar. Will probably move the temp down and put the wideband on the pillar. Have a fuel pressure gauge that goes under the wiper for now. Don't really want fuel running inside my car and the electric ones are too much. Voltmeter just seems useless.

Trans temp might not be a bad idea with these cars. :-)

I have boost, EGT, Coolant Temp in the pillar and Oil and an empty hole to put change in in the console! lol ;)

That might not be the worst idea, since within the first week of owning my car, I found out the hard way that the trans pump didn't work. Burned up most of the inside of that tranny. The melted washers and burnt plates did not look good.

How high should the trans temp gauge be able to display? The VDO ones show up to 400, but I have the autometer z-series and those only go up to 250. I'm really not sure how hot a transmission would get.

I would get the 250 since that's pretty darn hot already, if you exceed that I would say that either A) you have no trans cooler or its covered and your running it hard lol B) You are pulling a 8000# trailer behind your GN through the mountains C) You should pull over and check it out ASAP because something is/is about to be damaged.

With my car the normal Operating temp is around 130-170*F. With my 6 Speed auto in my truck I can see as low as mid 90's on the interstate crazy to think they can stay that cool!
