Will I gain much?

What do you guys think I will gain by swapping my trans which is all built with a 3400 single disc lock up Vig out of my GN into my T type that will have a projected 67 bb. Then building a new 200r non lock up all built with PTC nl converter for my GN. The car will be more of a weekend street warrior that all ready has a 70 gtq, GN1's and all the supporting mods. I'm happy with the trans in the car now and it runs awesome. But, will the gain be worth the swap?

im no tranny guy, but the PTC converter should blow the vigilante out of the water, if its a PTC 9.5" non locker you are talking about!

I would just build a badddd th400 for the car with the 70gtq. It would last longer and cheaper to build IMO..

400's are nice but we like to drive our cars long distance.

That's true Rick, are cars are more street than race cars, although we get confused sometimes. Talking about yours and mine ( two of the cleanest on So. Side ) I'll probably stick with what I got. Been talking back and forth with Dr. Boost on the situation. What do you think?

I wouldn't hesitate. The BOP 350 cores seem to be getting harder to find:biggrin:

From what I hear the PTC is the way to go. Bison sure seems to think so.
When I get some spare cash, I plan on grabing one myself.

My thinking is based on real world performance numbers. If you look at the quickest and fastest out ther they all have a PTC NL converter
