I'm so sick of the snow. It won't seem to stop. Today, (after snowing another 2 inches last night) is sunny and a bit warmer....like 40 degrees.
I still have hope there will be a spring this year.

Here is a pic I took a few years ago on my way home from BG taken somewhere warm.

Your mission, should you accept it, is to guess this warm spot. A hint is on the sign.

Hey Chris, samething down here, 4" last nite, 4" nite before, 3" before that,
6" Sunday, non stop, but sunny and 40 now, just hoping it does not melt at once!!

Ron

By the way, looks like Amarillo, TX!

Twas about 75 degrees that morning, ahhhhhhh. I stopped in the have one of their famous steaks which I'd read about. No, I didn't have their 6 pounder, just a "normal" one....lol. And yep, it was good.

Len Freeman was about 50 miles ahead of me at that point and the next time I saw him he was passing me just outside of Holbrook, AZ. So somewhere while he was stopped for gas, lunch, pee break, I passed him unknowingly and then he caught back up hauling two cars with his diesel pickup...and going many miles per hour over the limit...lol.

Damn, I really used to like those drives back across the country. Just me, the road and the radio. Lotsa good country music through Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona. I'll miss it all.

Stupid snow. Now go outside and do your famous "Go away snow" song and dance. Just don't do the "Go away snow up to Washington" one. :)

Stupid snow! This is the first year I’ve kept insurance on the car during the winter. I figured on some dry cold afternoon it would be neat to go for spin. Not happening.

Snow? What's that?

Neal

Neal dont you have any shady buick motors with shady history to go look at?...:D :D :D

leave us alone as we "wallow in our sea of sorrow" (Alice in Chains)

Winter is kicking my butt this year. :( I hate it! (If you haven't figured that out from the comments and pictures I've been posting lately).

Not only does snow suck but I've had really bad timing this year. Every time it snows it's on one of my days off when I was planning on pulling the GN out and wrenching on it for a while, or planning to go out for some entertainment. Days when I'm stuck at work for 11 hours are usually sunny and above 30 degrees.

I have a sinking feeling it's going to be a long winter this year. Cold and snowy until April with my luck. Buuut none of it matters when that first warm day rolls around and you go for a cruise in the car and forget about winter until a few months later...

On the bright side it gives the GN a few months to rest and keeps a few hundred miles off the odometer. I'd like to say winter gives me a break from blowing money on parts too, but that's certainly not the case this year. Ask my "weight room" which has turned into a storage room for all the parts I'm waiting to install.

...and there's more comin' your way, Chris!

Your liquid snow is starting to look more and more appealing to me as this white crap continues.

I actually backed my daily out of the shop today into my snow blower cleared driveway. Promptly got it stuck....hahahaha. Stupid snow or stupid driver.

Then I lowered the lift with it's 3 month sleeping Stage car and it amazingly started up right away. Despite not being able to drive it anywhere it felt good just to be able to sit in it and listen to the open exhaust. The only thing missing was the aromatic mix of race fuel and rubber.

And my Jam room, I havent touched a weight in 2 years since i moved into this place, havent picked up any of my geetars all winter, trippin over parts in the house, in the garage, got tools all over my work benches, forgot to shut off my acetylene on my torches and that drained a complete refill, that with a bad back, bad knees, carple tunnel with 4 arthritic boxer fractures on one hand ..oh fun in the winter! im just a walkin bundle of joy

and with the economy really sucking bad..feast or famine for me and right now its famine, spending money on parts i cant afford but all the good deals are right now so im just waiting it out

Hahaha. But look on the bright side....in 50 years you'll be dead.

All I know is I'm jealous of anyone with a decent heated garage. I wouldn't give a damn about winter if I had heat in my garage, or even enough room to work in there. Can't really do anything to my car unless I back it onto the driveway. Would love to rack up the car for winter and work on it whenever I feel like it. Instead I have to wait for warm weather to do anything to it. I'd rather be ready to drive the car when it gets warm out! Not only do I have to wait for winter to end, then I still have a huge list of work to do to the car.

Yay, a few more inches of snow Fri/Sat and then another arctic temperature plunge! What did I tell ya? It always gets worse on my day off. Sunday will be freezing.
