What needs to be done on one of Alky control kits when the car is put into storage for the winter?

thanks

Depends where its stored. If its inside climate controlled.. then drain and run some water through it. If its outside, you need to run mix(water/alcohol) so it doesnt freeze.

You can also do nothing.

In my opinion, the pumps have a life of X amount of years sitting in alcohol.. if you cut down the percentage.. they should last longer. In water.. probably forever.

100% meth will freeze:confused: Guess I better drain it

Freeze point of 100% Methanol is -144F
50/50 about -50F
The lower the Methanol content the higher the freeze point.

DO NOT MIX WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN WATER!!!! If you mix with anything else those contaminants will be in your alky when summer comes and you don't want that..
