I am getting ready to put my spare engine together. I was going to buy a set of J&E's as I have no problem spending the money on something good. My friend is trying to talk me into going with Wiseco's. Says they are better and cheaper, but cant give me any benefits. It seems a lot of the guys on here prefer TRW's or J&E's.
I just want to know if the Wisecos are worth using and if not, what would the reason be to not use them.

Nice Pistons!!!

Don't have them in the buick but have used many many sets in engines for the last 20+ years. I just sold my 747 hp injected alky sbc 374" in my 7.70's@174 '23 t altered. They had over 600 passes and were still in excellent shape. Just freshened the engine and closely inspected each psiton and found no wear or damage. Many Winston cup teams use them. Hope this helps.

I have used the in ATV's small engines and beat the hell out of them with no problems. Not sure if they are better than JE's but they make some pretty high quality products.

We ran them in my dad's Stage 2 car for years with good luck. Beat the hell out of them for 4 years on three rebuilds and still ran strong. Good product IMO.

Good luck

My understanding is that JE and Wiseco are now one in the same company.

I have JE's in my current motor and Wiseco's are soon to go in my spare.
