wet flow manifolds ( for carbs) back in the day we were told to avoided smoothing the floor ,
they actually put grooves the intake floors to prevent fuel droplets from just running into the head
champion intakes and champ irons the floors are smooth as glass if its a droplet its running back into the rear cylinders as a droplet
i have neither a power plate or smooth floors
mease sheetmetal open plenum , stock rough floor intake and stock rough cast heads with the cast circle in the runners ,
not saying its the answer , or that there is a real problem , just little old school for discusion
