Do we have any writers here? I know this is a pretty deep subject for this board, but I figured I would ask. Have any of you considered writing a novel
based on your life experiences? I am leaning towards writing about mine. Although I would have to change the details to protect the guilty\innocent (and possibly my life), I think my circumstances have given me an abundance of interesting material.

Should I do it or leave it alone?

I have thought about it several times... Not on my life experience but on a plethora of subjects:biggrin: As long as you keep the details out why not?

Why not?

I started a fantasy novel and the puter crashed after 20 chapters. I was sending some of the stuff to a Marine that I met online and she (yes she) has all of it. She was in Quate (sp) and it was passed around quite a bit. If you ever find a Marine named SSG Heaven El Dean I'd like to get the stuff back so I can finish it. The troops enjoyed it and I wish I still had it so I could finish it but no luck. The hard drive died so I can't bring it back. I haven't tried since then.

You guys ever seen the rouge warroir series of books with the team? I recently ran across on in the condo we were staying on vacation. I really enjoyed that book. Ex military guy and his team with real stories with real words:biggrin:

120 chapters is a lot of work. Can't imagine the frustration in losing all that effort.

I'll have to check those out. I like that sort of reading material. I wish I could explain to you all what my book would be about, but it may be too sensitive to post. It would however, make an interesting fictional storyline. If I wrote it as a biography and told the truth, I would think the time I had left on earth would be short and stressful. Mind you, I would likely use a pseudonym or a Ghost Writer to avoid scrutiny. Fictitious names for the players would also be a certainty.

I guess that depends on how interesting ur life is. Not to you but others.

Mine would be a best seller, got a chapter for me:biggrin: It would be a horror/sci fi/drama/comedy all wrapped in one:cool:

True, but I believe if you knew the facts you would agree with me. Mind you, have you seen the crap that sells out there?
