Just a FWIW, don't forget there are even and odd fire distributors.

looking for an Even-fire precomputer distributor for a Buick V6. I think I'll turn my computerized one into an oilpump priming tool. Take the gear off and the guts out of the top?

have tons of distbuters at my shop do you know what part no. you need or how do you tell even from odd fire

even vs odd fire. Even fires have 6 regually space terminals on the caps, odd fires looke like V8 HEI's with 2 towers missing. As far as the difference between a computer and a non computer.... I think its less wires out of the module and the precence of a vacuum advance can but not sure on that one. Any help Bruce?

An odd fire will have a vacuum can..
There are some *odd* v6 distributors, when they went to the CCC systems, as I recall.

Have you tried *parts wanted*?. There maybe a StageII guy with a junk stocker floating around, or high mileage used MSD.
