I just pulled my motor out of my T-type. This motor has run solid and never had a issue. I pulled it out to freshen it up and sell it. I was completely blown away at the condition of the internals. The will post pics tomorrow of the motor and the bearing that came out of this shortblock. I ran the numbers in my sig with this motor at 25 psi. Here is a list of whats in it.

109 block .30 over
J&E pistons with file fit plasma moly rings
Stock crank 10/10 (ARP hard ware)
stock rods fitted with ARP hardware
New double rolling timing chain
218/224 billet roller with DLS cam kit
Steal caps
High volume front cover with waterpump
Stock flywheel and balancer
Oil pan

Motor has a clean bill of health, asking $3300 without lifters and $3700 with zero lash Comp lifters. Great piece for a daily driver/ weekend warrior.

This motor was in my car running flawlessly for years without any problems. It does not have any miles on it since its been freshened up. I run Ultra94 Sunoco pump gas on the street and C16 at the track. I run Valvoline 10W30 in it and change my oil very frequently, hence the great success I have had with this motor.

Here are the bearings that came out of the motor before freshening it up.

Pms were sent out thanks for the interest. I have had a couple pms regarding this motor if it was the same motor I listed before. No this is a new one. The first girdled 109 shortblock I sold to V8killer, the second was to Plains drifter. This is another 109 out of my own car. I know things can get confusing so here is the clarification.

if I had the money I would buy looking to upgrad my 67,000 stocker out.:frown:

Nash Engines here in Toronto. He has been building my motors since 91. Lots of other locals with Buicks use him too, including some StageII motors. I have had 3 other 109's built by him as well with girdles. One to a local and 2 that have gone States side. 2 of them are in cars running problem free and one is being delievered in the New Year.

What all did you do to freshen up the motor besides the bearings? How do the bores, pistons, rings look?

I brought it to my enginer builder and told him to freshen it up (meaning rings, bearings, line hone, timing chain etc). He disassembled it, cleaned the block, put in new bearings, line honed it, put in a new double rolling timing chain and cleaned all the parts and re assembled it. He told me the rings are still in good shape and did not reccomend a new set, the line hone is more then enough. The pistons are in mint condition. Spent $900 to freshen it up although it did not need it. But its a better selling feature knowing that it has been throughly inspected and put back together. Also piece of mind.
