A few months back i installed Razors alky kit and bought a chip from Turbo Tweak for my combo. Car runs great but 17 to 18 pounds of boost is all it will build.( ZERO, 0 nock :) ) I have an adjustable wastegate but does not seem to matter which way i go. I see they make a wastegate for 21psi and more. Is that what i need? I do not really care to run 22 to 24 pounds of boost but i would like the option to. What am i doing wrong and can this wastegate i have be made to work? I probaby bought this wastegate in the 1990's from bowling green customs are something similiar.

Why can i run 35 pounds plus boost on my 2006 powerstrokewith only a programmer and studs and you can not on these GN's?

BTW i love Razors alky kit and could just pick up the phone and call him to find out but hate to bother the man with a siple question when he could be taking orders for new guys.

It will spike to 20 pounds for a nano second before settling on 17 or 18 pounds of boost on my 2 inch autmeter quage.

As to way i have not addressed this before now? I let my son drive the car some and frankly 17 to 18 pounds of boost worries me when he is behind the wheel out on the town with his girlfriend

actuator

it prob has a reg actuator on t, so it will only go to 18# ..they have a high boost one that you can buy. i think the rjc boost controller can let it go higher with what your runing now. dont hold it to me dont know for surebut you can call him to find out. click on here
BoostC

we still run stock actuators on our cars with RJC valves.. we have more than 18#s of boost on them :p

dont use the adj wastgate arm for boost controll
set the arm to minimum tension to hook the puck arm
add a manual boost controller (like the rjc or a simple bleeder)
i had no problem running 25 with the stocker and an RJC

that said if your wastegate arm is cranked shut and you cant build more than 18 either the gauge supply hose is leaking , the puck is stuck open , you have some header /crossover leaks , mechanical issues with the motor

if the arm is cranked full and wont pull out any more to hook the arm then that means when its hooked up to the puck arm the puck cant move
if puck is closed and you cant build boost you can rule out a defective wastegate

Mine used to build 22 with the arm adjusted all the way out...puck open 1/4 inch or so.

Are you saying while turning in the adjustable arm clockwise that it's not increasing in boost pressure? Make sure the puck is totally sealed against the turbo housing and the other tips were good from above.

I prefer to make the boost changes with the adjustable arm over the MBC. I leave about 2psi of boost increase in the MBC and then crank the arm in the rest of the way. I noticed the arm helped spool up over the MBC.

All good responses.... also need to verify that the wastegate puck arm is not sticking.... partially open.......or that the puck is sealing properly....
