1st pass,1.68 60ft,4.75 330ft,7.29@97.54mph 1/8,9.50@1000ft,11.41@116.96mph 1/4.2nd pass,1.55 60ft,4.66 330ft,7.25@96.17mph 1/8,9.46@1000,11.36@118.52mph 1/4.

ta49 garret.63 ex housing,411 gears,old kb front mount,42lb injector's,walboro 340 and a bosch 286 external,nx wet kit,dynoteck hi pro tranny with 3200 10.5 protorque,mild port stock heads and intake with 1.65 rocker's,hoosier drag radials,tt chip with dual nozzle from alkycontrol.

mike, the boost was set at 20 lbs but i got 22 to 23lbs with the 35 shot that i was running till about 1100ft,the 11.3 pass was the only full pass i did that day as i shut her down at the top of 3rd and ran 20psi in od through the trapps.afr was at 10.5 so the tune was conservative.

4.11 gears:eek:

Ditto.

11.36 is pretty impressive with a TA49, until you mentioned the N2, ported heads and Front mount. You should be able to run 10's with the 49 when you get it sorted out.

Those 4.11's aren't doing our OD any good, though. I'd lose them first. Your mph will likely go over 120 first time out with no other real changes to your tune by swapping back to 3.42's .

ungn,i've been 11.41 on a 1.61 60ft,with mph as high as 119.48mph no spray on a larger exhaust housing, but with much higher boost.i switched back to the garret .63 housing, which in the past my best was 11.58 with a best mph 116.i was able to run 11.36 with less boost on a smaller exhaust housing with a much safer and conservative tune without breaking, just with a small 35 shot.btw my heads are mild port not even close to a champion head.my plans are to shot for the 10's on a 49 that's the goal, but i just don't want to run 30psi and strip the car down to do it,car weighs 3732-3832lbs depending on if i run my stereo boxes in the trunk or not.on the 11.3 pass boxes were in:smile:

my best with the 342 gear was 11.82@114.87mph on a 1.67 60ft on the bfg drag radial.swapping to the 411 gear, car went 11.64@114mph with a 1.64 60ft,so they grew on me;)

They'll grow on you until you smoke 4th gear in the trans.

By all means keep pushing this combo, though. I want to do WOT OD upshifts in my TTA at the 1 mile drag races I go to in Nebraska. I'll feel a lot better about it if I know someone has a lot of 1/4 mile passes doing it without damage.

ungn,i have had the 411 gears in the car since 2000 and have never hurt the od.the late eric shertz set the trans up knowing full well what i would be doing with the car.i cannot vouch for your car not hurting the od as you have 3.42 and i want to be clear that my trans is a built 200 not stock by any means.

Updated for ttypewhitecar ended up going 10.6@125mph at 3700 lbs on a 1.45 60ft.best 1/8 was 6.6.i was traction limited at the time, best 60ft was 1.42.combo changes I wont discuss at this time but turbo was all in with a healthy amount of timingas fast as I could get her at that weight,on a stock ecm, stock motor-a mild head porting and rockers and 100lb valve springs with good air and alot of rd.

I appreciate that. Thank you. Makes a lot of sense when your using nitrous. Seemed to have forgotten that in the other thread...

sometimes i use it sometimes i dont, car ended up going into the 10s without it,but it needed that 30psi to do it.imagine if it was light ;)

Out of curiosity, when did you run those numbers? Both your threads are here at the top of this section. In 2008 everything is in this thread, in 2010 you retired that old combo and put in the RPE built 109 and never looked back.

It's never everything I race alot now and was running 2 cars at one point.the threads i threw out there is only what I was willing to share at the time.i had run 10s/11s on a 49 on race gas on the same combo before I was even on the board and the car was lighter and on slicks. then wanted to be purely street and do it on pump gas alky, with a stereo ac heat no lightweight wheels or slicks and skinnies but through a full exhaust not making any sounds and no fiberglass parts, which at the time Julio's alky kit wasn't even around, had to make my own.it was more of a quest and how I wanted to run the car, we were all driving alot to shows too back then and 10s and 11s was really fast back then for a street car.

I one car,the other had a stock motor 49 at 32psi single nozzle on drag radials and it was lighter and ran high 11s on a stock turbo before the 49.the rpe motor is in my nt car with a whole new combo and its purpose is to go fast for as long as it can lol

It's your story, I'm just curious how far your willing to go with it. In 2012 this was you....

and in 2014 this was you.....

Your sixty foot has always been 1.58 from 2008 to 2014 when you mentioned the TA49 turbo and your best sixty foot in that time frame was a 1.52 with your RPE motor that you mentioned for 4 years as being your best. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. In no way am I doctoring, fabricating or maliciously putting words in your mouth. This is all you.

What dont you understand?thought I explained above, those threads talk about boost numbers and 10s and low 11s on a 49 turbo some of which my car at the higher weight maybe that's why your confused.my car never was stuck at 1.58 60ft,it used to do that off a 1lb leave on the converter, right off the foot brake, the 1.52 60ft was on a rpe motor that's when I was breaking it in at low boost and low timing on pump gas and meth I was shocked that it ran damn near the other combo not even trying.you seem to be pulling and picking and trying to move timeframes about posts.ive posted plenty of data regarding 49 turbos and nearly stock motors.keep saying this but they need to be squeezed at higher weight and must 60ft and 330 to run a number.at lower weight difference story,I've had 2 cars at 2 different weights show the same thing as well as my few of my friends cars show nearly identical results.
