Line locks are for burnouts! I would NEVER hook mine to the rears.
The reason I can foot brake to very high boost levels (higher than the tires I use could ever handle BTW) is because the rear brakes are kept cold during the burnout, because of the line lock.

What about running daul line locks. One for burn outs and one for launch control?????You could tie the second one in with the two step.

I'm putting mine on the shifter, on the brake I'm in L1 anyway. Hand on the shifter before lauching puts me in race mode. ;)

Ok, guys, time for an update.

I sent two units out for some testing. I'm buried in snow here.

Hopefully we can get some feedback and pictures.

We are still on track for the spring.

Bob

Bob, I know you have heard it several times but just wanted to thank you for your efforts on keeping us stocked with new ways to keep them guessing! I will be buying one as soon as you release these. Thanks and have a great new year. Jon Hanson

test

why not send one down to Kevin at KDK in Orlando ,i`m sure he can find someone to test one here? Its gonna be in the high 70`s today.

the 2 guys I sent them to are further south than I am and will be able to do the testing.

The testing required it just to be sure that the triggering stuff and the amount of timing retard is where we need it. The unit itself works flawlessly..... :)

So we are moving forward with the project.

Great Bob! Hopefully early...spring. ;) Can't wait for the finished product.

GETTING ANXIOUS!!! can't wait to try one out.. im convinced this product will allow me to launch the car and build boost at the line like i've wanted to and do it consistently( or at least more consistently)!!!

ok guys dont hate on my too much! I do own 2 boosted fords. A 88 thunderbird turbo coupe and a 97 v6 mustang turbo. I love the Gns and will probably own one someday. Im not one of those people that bash other just cuz ur car is different. I reallly love different cars and am highly addicted to boost.
That being said. Bob I love this idea!!! Our only option in the mustang v6 world is the dis-4. I will never own one. My father had two separate units on his v6 turbo race car (80mm turbo) and they both turned out to be junk.
Im looking for a 2step option and was wondering if this unit will work on any ignition system. Im not for sure the differences in ignitions between gn and mustangs. A 2 step would really help me at this point. Im running a c4 (no brake), and have to foot brake and ebrake at the line to try to build some boost. Its a pain!!!!!!!! however this method has helped me get the 10.71 slip. Im just looking for something a lil less complex.

I'm not sure this unit will work on that engine I need to dig into the details more, but the basic concept should do the job . Once this puppy is out the door, that one may be the next one to try.

What details do you have on the ignition system?

We are working on the logistics to produce them. So it will not be too much longer.

I need a wiring diagram and some information on the signals.

Perhaps a spare coilpack to experiment with.

Bob

im sure we have an extra at the shop i could ship u, with possibly the wiring with it. Ill let you know whats up.
I do know that its an EDIS system, ill try to dig up some wiring diagrams as well. Ill just pm u the info so im not thread jacking!
Like i said very cool stuff ur doin!!!!!!

i did some digging, and I think it will work.

!!!!!!!

with some software work.

So, I will add it to the development list.

Cool stuff.

Bob

ok cool! well im willing to work with you however i can. If you need a coil, or whatever just let me know. I can think of a couple of 10sec v6 mustangs what would find good use of this!!!!
