You can do the same with a plug in the 1/2 for .50cents. This just makes it cleaner and removes it all

What does this do? First i've heard of it.

Disabling the accumulators takes the cushion out of the shift. The trans will shift quite violently without the accumulator function, especially with elevated pressures and a full tv. I wouldn't eliminate it but i'm not driving his car.

"IF" you have a loose convertor blocking the 1/2 will no be too harsh, a lot depends on personal preference. You can remove the center checkball as well to firm up the shift and leave the accum active, or block the accum and leave the ball , or remove BOTH for max aggression.
