200R4 or TH400 w/ GV OD???

Ok hello to all you guys!!!

I have a 96 Impala SS with a 409 Stroker in it. I have run a best of 12.3 at 110 mph. Now i wanna add some N20 150 to 200 2 stage kit. So i dont want to let off before the tranny shifts. I have a beffed up 4l60e but it will not hold up to the spray.

so my question is what trannys are you big dogs using im talking 3800lb cars running 9-10's what tranny are u using??

I ve herd mixed info on this subject. Should i go with a beefed up 200R4? Or a TH400 with a Gear Vendors Overdrive??

Well what do yall think im shooting for low 11's high 10's in a 4300lb car!!!

Run What you brung

Here is my .05 worth. Your going to take it in the wallet no matter what choice you make. That 4l60e should be able to take it {with the right parts}. I haven't seen art carr's fix for the input housing and sun shell, but i hear from of my sy\ty buddies that it
is pretty cool. If your worried about breaking planetaries, the 2002 4l60e's have new 5 pinion planet carriers.

By the time you get done with a 400\gv overdrive and converter or the other choices and a converter or maybe even a 4l80e, it's going to be a heavy cash outlay.
